My wonderful in-laws threw me the most AMAZING babyshower on May 22nd. They went ALL out! I had such a great time and Kyleigh got some GREAT gifts! Thanks to all who showed up! I feel so very blessed to have such a wonderful family.

I shaved my legs for THIS?!?!!

I have apparently learned the hard way that when you are 8 months pregnant and can't see your feet, it is probably best to shave while taking a bath, not a shower. And another good thing to remember is that a shower curtain will NOT catch you when you fall! On April 27th, I fell out of the shower while shaving and landed directly on my belly on the edge of the tub! OUCH! It actually didn't hurt that bad and I felt fine, but I called my docotor JUST to make sure! Well, she wanted me to come in so we could make sure Miss Kyleigh was doing alright. After being hooked up to the fetal monitor for about and hour and a half, Kyleigh's heartbeat was fast and strong and she was still moving like crazy BUT I was having mild contractions! And when you are only 31 weeks pregnant, that is NOT something you wanna hear! Dr. Hensarling believed the contractions were brought on by stress and said alot of water, tylenol, and rest would calm them down. So, I was placed on bed rest for 48 hours! I am just thankful that I am ok and most importantly Kyleigh is doing just fine and is still healthy as ever!

Big scare!

So now that I have FINALLY entered my 3rd trimester, my body is going through some MAJOR changes! I guess I am still getting used to those changes! I had a HUGE scare today! I had very severe abdominal cramping! It brought me to tears! I was so worried about our little Kyleigh. I guess that is normal for a first time mom-to-be! After enduring the pain for about an hour and a half, I contacted my nurse and she told me to try drinking lots of water, taking tylenol, and lying on my left side for an hour! WHEW! It worked! She informed me that I would start feeling Braxton Hicks Contractions around this time (28 weeks), and that my uterus could have also been under stress from not drinking enough fluids and being too active and over doing it! I am so relieved to be feeling much better!

It's a....GIRL!

We found out we were having a precious little girl on January 20, 2010.

Our little girl weighed 7 ounces! We bet she was relieved that we were finally told she was a girl, we had been calling her a boy all along! She sure did surprise us!
When we found out our baby was a girl, we decided to name her Kyleigh Marie. I picked out the first name "Kyleigh", I have always loved that name! Her middle name comes from my aunt whose name was Tina Marie. She was a very special lady and she would have loved to meet little miss Kyleigh. We miss her very much, but we know she is always with us in spirit!
Kyleigh is due on June 28, 2010. TJ was born in June also, on the 6th. I hope Kyleigh waits it out and comes on the fourth of July. I was born on St. Patrick's Day and I would love for Kyleigh to be born on a holiday also!

After I kicked her hard enough to get my point across, mommy FINALLY decided to start a blog! I am excited that mommy, daddy, and me get to share all there is to know about our family! Mommy says that she will update weekly, so be sure to visit often!
